A MOST TRYING JULY

Indeed, it was. Hinc illæ lacrimæ. Never easy coping with a tragedy of this magnitude. Picking up the pieces as best I can. There'll be brighter days...

So, is it customary to write a welcome post? Because I most certainly can feel one coming on.

Adios!

Hello Zareena, thanks for the comments. I have found neither the will nor the energy to post these last few days on account of the shift I have been making in and out of some terribly upsetting gastrointestinal episodes but I think I may have finally beaten it.

To answer your question; I lost my father to cancer in July of this year. I’m not sure exactly why I’ve felt so reluctant to briefly outline the time just before his passing and my personal journey following it. Perhaps, I’m still struggling to get some grasp of it myself and always feel unable to find some definitive place from which to begin. Someday soon I shall gather the strength to sit down and tell.

BTW, the link to your blog is broken. Typo in the URL, perhaps? Or did you just take it off?
