EACH SMALL CANDLE...

... lights a corner of the dark

Not the torturer will scare me
Nor the body's final fall
Nor the barrels of death's rifles
Nor the shadows on the wall
Nor the night when to the ground
The last dim star of pain is hurled
But the blind indifference
Of a merciless, unfeeling world

Roger put on what can only be described as a life-altering event in a performance that was as visual as it was musical. In struggling to capture the essence of the show, I find myself at a loss for words to describe it in any meaningful way to anyone who wasn't there. "Epic" is one word that comes to mind and that is about as descriptive as I'll ever get.

I have four words for you. Try Mind Blowing and Paralysis Inducing.

Remember how we simply stood there like shameless fools with our mouths quite 'circumferentially' stuck in a lock jaw sucking it all in while he blew our heads to smithereens?

Manny, I have excused myself from writing a narrative of the night. Nothing I say will ever do justice, although your description comes just a tad close.

It was political. Very. And especially now. But mainly, it captured the human condition. Roger can tread on grounds where most artists have burned. But then anybody who didn't expect that knows next to nothing of Floyd or Waters.
